Strategies for Collaboration
The project also includes a participatory workshop for parents with their children, two "Family Days" at the Gallery, and extensive planning by teacher-artist and management teams.

Professional Development goals
In addition, professional development is provided for all partners in group collaboration, development of Interdisciplinary units, the infusion of technology, Creative Problem Solving, visual strategies, and assessment.

Public Results Statements
List of Achievements:

  • Created an infrastructure for collaborative program planning, Implementation and assessment at School No. 42 for artists, museum educators, teachers, cultural organizations and school administrators
  • Developed interdisciplinary units at each grade level (K-6)
  • Formulated and administered assessment tools to measure student motivation to learn and student performance in eight skills related to ELA literacy and the arts
  • Fostered family participation in the arts through in-school, parent/child workshops and "Family Days" at the Memorial Art Gallery
  • Created an environment at School No. 42 that embraces the arts community as partners in education
